For the price of under $100, its very hard to beat the Homall Racing Chair. The has very good lumbar support and fits your body snugly. In short, it’s a very comfortable chair to sit in for hours and hours. You also have a very large backrest and fully adjustable armrests.

The chair comes in two designs, and two colors (red and blue) – amounting to four total variants. The other design has fixed armrests instead of adjustable ones.

The chair also has a decent range of recline as well as an pneumatic height adjustments of 18.1″-21.2″. The seating area of the gaming chair measures 20″ x 20″ and the backrest measures 20″ x 28.7″

The chair takes around 20-30 minutes to assemble.

The seating surface of the chair is made of a combination of PU leather and mesh.

Build quality as a whole certainly isn’t top of the line, but remember this gaming chair costs 1/4 to 1/3 as much as DXRacer chairs. Probably the largest quality defect of the chair is its wheels. Sometimes, a few wheels are stuck in place and slide along the floor instead of rolling.

Though build quality leaves something to be desired of, the confort and price of the Homall Racing Chair is unbeatable.

The Essentials Racing Chair looks pretty comfortable, and fortunately it is incredibly comfortable and ergonomic.

Coming in at just around or over $100, the chair offers great lumbar support and is a great deal for the price. The weight limit is 250 pounds.

The chair comes in two colors, neon green and grey.

The Essentials Racing Chair has a few inches of recline. The chair’s 360 degree pneumatic height adjustment system has a range of  17” – 20.75”. The seating area of the chair measures at 20″  x 18.875″ and the backrest measures 19.75”  x 29.50”

It takes around 30 minutes to fully assemble the chair. There might be some struggles during assembly, especially when assembling the back, but the chair feels very solid once it is fully set up.

The chair’s seating area is made of a mix of PU leather and mesh that is either neon green or grey.

The construction quality of the chair is good, but it doesn’t look like an ultra-premium chair. The cheap black plastic of the legs and armrests don’t help the chair give our a sense of quality. Parts of the chair also feel a bit stiff.

The Essentials Racing Chair is another great budget gaming chair option.

If you’re looking for a gaming chair for only fifty dollars, you need to be very very careful. The majority of all office/gaming chairs at this pricemark are unacceptable in terms of comfort and quality – they aren’t worth the cardboard box they come in. The BestOffice Black Mesh Chair is one of the few good chairs for ultra-tight budgets.

The BestOffice Black Mesh Chair isn’t as large that most other chairs on this list, but it still offers great comfort and lumbar support. The seat size measures 18″ x 19″ and the backrest measures 17″ x 20″.

The chair can be adjusted four inches using is 360 degree swivel pneumatic lift system, from 19″ to 23″.

Though this chair has a very plain design, its surprisingly well constructed – the legs are made of metal and the seating material is well fitted. It only comes in one color: black.

The chair has an advertised weight limit of 250 pounds, and that estimate seems very reasonable to us.

The Alera Elusion Series Chair offers a superb combination of quality and functionality at a low price. You’ll be able to sit in this wonderfully ergonomic chair for hours on end.

The chair is build around ergonomics. The seat cushion is very pushy and well contoured and the fully height adjustable backrest offers very good breathable support. The cushion is also sloped downwards to give good support to legs. The soft polyurethane padded armrest can be adjusted both vertically and horizontally.

The seat can be adjusted vertically from 18 3/4″ to 22 3/8″. The backrest of the seat is made of a thin layer of breathable mesh that offers great lumbar support. The soft cushion of the chair is covered with a though black fabric. The chair comes in two colors, white and black.

As you can probably tell, the construction quality of this chair is top notch and comparable to chairs twice or three times it’s price and all of the many adjustments are easy and lock well.

For only around $100, The Alera Elusion Series Chair has more ergonomic adjustments than most high-end gaming chairs. If you’re looking for a very conformable and function chair, we highly recommend the Alera Elusion.

The DXRacer Formula Series is probably the most popular gaming chair in the world. DXRacer chairs are not designed to be “one size fits all” so they offer a huge variety of chairs to fit every single body type. (We even have a full guide on DxRacer Gaming Chairs)

The DXRacer Formula Series chair is designed for average sized male gamers who weigh less than 200 pounds and 5’10”. The relatively  seating area has the dimensions 14.5″W(Front) x 12.5″W (Back) x 17.75″D so it’s designed for a very snug fit. The chair’s weight limit is the weight limit for comfort, not the structural weight limit of the chair.

In terms of ergonomics, the DXRacer F-Series is designed for performance, so its not comfortable chair to sit in in. However, the chair has great back and lumbar support with its huge backrest and two included add-on cushions for the headrest and lower back. The chair also has side and shoulder support. The chair can also tilt back 135 degrees and the armrests also have adjustments.

The assembly of the chair is pretty easy and straightforward.

The chair has great build quality and really good clean stitching. It slides seamlessly across any surface.

This model of the Formula Series, DOH/FD99/NW, comes in eight colors and is made of PU Leather. There are many many more color and fabric options for the Formula Series.

The DXRacer F-Series is the go-to chair for most gamers who can afford a good gaming chair.

The Akracing AK-5015 Nitro is a very well built and fitting racing style gaming chair. You will instantly feel the difference from a standard office chair.

At a first glance, the AK-5015 looks incredibly similar to the DXRacer F-Series. The chairs are built by different companies, but they are functionally identical in terms of quality, functions, and aesthetics. However, this chair actually beats DXRacer in some aspects.

The chair’s backrest can tilt down a full 180 degrees, much more than the already impressive 135 degrees most DXRacer chairs tilt. The AK-5015 also has a sturdy all-metal frame and construction. The armrests have vertical adjustments of up to seven inches.

The chair’s seating area measures approx. 14.6″ x 22″ so it is designed for a tight and snug fit. It’s made of a tought PU Synthetic leather Leather. Akracing has a lot of gaming chair variants as the AK-5015 comes in six colors, but it is still no match for DXRacer’s huge gaming chair line.

The chair comes with a lumbar cushion and a headrest cushion, but it’s not built like a plushy office chair. It doesn’t have massive, thick padding anywhere. Pair this with a high-quality gaming desk and you are set!

The chair is supported by five black metal legs and a class 4 pneumatic lift that supports up to 396 lbs so its exceptionally well built.

The Office Factor Office Chair is a not built as a gaming chair, but its many adjustments and great ergonomics mean that it fits the gaming chair role incredibly well.

This isn’t really that expensive – but the chair is packed with quality, reliable features. The seat is made of a high-density contoured foam cushion covered with a high strength PU Leather covering. The backrest is made of a breathable mesh with great lumbar support. The chair very comfortable to sit in for long periods of time, though we have one gripe with this chair: the back support isn’t that great. The armrests are made of soft polyurethane and can be lifted up and down.

Though the backrest can’t tilt back independently, the chair can still tilt backwards around 45 degrees.

In terms of design, the Office Factor Office Chair knocks most of the competition out. It has a stylish contemporary design and chrome panels on its legs and back. The chair also has a pretty good build quality.

The chair can be adjusted up and down with its gas lift.

To top this great package off the chair also has a five year warranty.

The SPACE AirGrid Seat is a well designed and durable chair that is priced far below a lot of it’s competitors.

The chair has a PU Leather cushion that is sewn well with heavy duty stitching. The mesh backrest is pretty firm and gives great back and lumbar support.

The robust pneumatic lift of the chair can move from 19″ to 25″. The lift is on par with chairs far more expensive than this one, and it’s mechanism is very reliable. The chair also has height adjustable soft padded armrests, which can be a real help for alleviating wrist stress.

The chair has some decent tilt capabilities, with its 2-to-1 Synchro Tilt Control with an adjustable tilt tension.

Built on a strong frame, the structure of the chair feels stable and rigid. It has a certified weight limit of 250 pounds. The dual-wheel XL casters roll seamlessly on all surfaces, including light carpet. Overall, we are really impressed with the quality of the chair – it is built to last.

Most people wouldn’t even think of paying a grand for a gaming chair. After all – it’s just a chair. However, consider this: many people would think little about splurging $600 for a expensive graphics card that will be replaced in two to three years. Most of those people would never even think for buying a high quality gaming chair that they would probably use three hours every day for the next five, six, or ten years!

The Herman Miller Classic Aeron is one of those high end chairs that offers the best possible ergonomics and performance, but at a very steep price. The chair is very adjustable, coming with fully adjustable padded armrests, pneumatic height adjustment, and both forward and backward tilt. The entire seating area is a breathable mesh that firm, yet comfortable and breathable.

The chair also supports a few much more exclusive adjustments like PostureFit adjustable lumbar supports and is built on a strong graphite/aluminum/titanium frame.

The Aeron comes in many many varieties. It comes in three main sizes, “A”, “B”, and “C”. “A” is the smallest and “C” is the largest.  The chair has three frame types: titanium, graphite, and aluminium. The chair also has several fabric texture and options, though they are all mesh and feel the same.

If you’re considering buying a Aeron, you need to do a lot of research before making an investment on a such a pricey chair. Be sure to pick the size and color that suits you the most. The Aeron is a hit-or-miss for many people. For some, it’s a permanent fix to back pain. For others, its an overpriced defective piece of junk. If you do get this chair, try to get a new one since you will be covered by Herman Miller’s comprehensive twelve year warranty.

The Herman Miller Embody is the single best chair my ass has ever sat on. Designed by Bill Stumph and Jeff Weber, the same engineers who created the Herman Miller Aeron, the Embody is a magnificent piece of art. In terms of design, ergonomics, and quality, few chairs come close to the Embody – after all, its what you should expect for a chair that costs 10x as much as a standard mesh office chair.

Just from the looks of it, the Herman Miller Embody is an incredibly beautiful chair with minute details at every corner of it. There are a ton of adjustments that you can make on this chair – in fact, there are seven dials and levers on the chair. With the tension, height, and support adjusted correctly, pressure distribution to your joints and general support to your back and butt will greatly increase.

The sitting area of the chair has its own intricate system “Pixelated Supports”. According to Herman Miller’s website, the “Embody’s seat and back surfaces automatically conform to your body’s micro-movements, distributing your weight evenly as you sit. ” The seating area of the chair actually is much more than a chunk of foam – it’s a series of plastic springs that is like that of a high-end mattress. The backrest of the chair is probably the most impressively engineered part of the Embody. It’s constructed of a central spine with flexible ribs coming off of it to give consistent support no matter what position the user is sitting on.

The Embody comes in sixteen colors, though most of them are either some type of grey or blue. The chair also comes with a 12-year, 3-shift warranty and ships fully assembled.

There is one thing that we have a problem with the Embody; the armrests don’t take wear easily.

As with all high-end gaming chairs, you should do a lot of research on the Steelcase Gesture before deciding to buy it. The Steelcase Gesture is a very good all purpose task and gaming chair similar to that of the Herman Miller Embody.

The chair has a wide range of adjustments, including seat depth, reclining resistance, three plane armrest movements, and obviously height adjustments. The armrest on the Gesture is probably the best on any chair right now – it can easily adjust vertically and horizontally both forward and sideways.

The chair is weight tested to support up to 400 lbs. without any performance cost.

The back support of the Steelcase Gesture is matched only by the Herman Miller Embody, which costs around 25% more. The Gesture’s backrest truly does contour to your back nearly perfectly. The Steelcase Gesture is visibly more comfy than both the Herman Miller Embody and Herman Miller Aeron, with a lot more padding but less of the intricate “Pixelated Support”. In the end, its a matter of personal preference. Note that though the Steelcase Gesture is a lot more comfy that a chair like the Herman Miller Aeron, the Gesture does get a little hot.
